Really interesting deep dive—GEAR’s approach to building structured knowledge graphs from scattered context is a great step forward in addressing RAG’s multi-hop limitations. The balance between graph reasoning and agent orchestration feels increasingly essential for real-world complex queries.

We've been developing a system called BioMed Advisor (BmA) that tackles many of the same challenges—specifically for biomedical and life science use cases. BmA goes beyond traditional RAG by coordinating multiple LLMs and specialized tools to support chain-of-thought and tree-of-thought workflows across diverse knowledge sources. It builds contextual understanding over multiple hops, much like GEAR’s agent, but optimized for high-stakes, domain-specific reasoning.

Would love to connect with others exploring hybrid orchestration frameworks like this!
